Noise-Reducing Ceiling
Armstrong World Industries is currently offering a number of ceiling options that will gain LEED points in the new version of LEED. With the launch of the new LEED v4, buildings can attain two points for acoustic performance in the Indoor Environmental Quality section of the Interior Design and Construction rating system and one point in the Building Design and Construction system. Armstrong’s Formations Acoustical Clouds and SoundScapes Shapes Acoustical Clouds provide interrupted ceiling planes to help control distant reverberation and reflections between cubicles, which reduces occupant annoyance and distractions. The SoundScapes Acoustical Canopies also reduce reverberation but in a different size and look compared to acoustical clouds.
