Eco-Friendly Floor Underlayment
Suitable for hardwood, laminate and luxury vinyl tile floors in educational facilities, VersaWalk from MP Global Products is the company’s latest earth-friendly acoustic fiber underlayment. Designed for nail- or glue-down installation, the product comes with a special moisture management system to coat and protect floors. The odorless, non-allergenic and VOC-free underlayment is composed of at least 94 percent post-industrial/pre-consumer textile fibers and scrap material, according to the company. Its featured air-laid filaments create a capillary effect to cushion the floor, dampen ambient sound and absorb sound impact, reducing noise within rooms, according to the company.
Available in 100-square-foot rolls and 360-square-foot rolls, VersaWalk also adds an R-Value of 0.50 to floor systems, creating a thermal break that helps keep floors warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
