Alan Scott

Alan Scott is now a team member of Cadmus Group’s building practice.  Prior to Cadmus, Scott founded Green Buildings Services Inc., a Portland, Oregon-based sustainable building consultancy. An architect by training, Scott has  been actively involved in more than 50 LEED-certified projects and has guided many other LEED-targeted projects through design, including the first LEED-certified project in Oregon, the first LEED Gold for New Construction project in the city of Houston, the first LEED-certified courthouse in Texas, and the first LEED-certified project in Peru.

Scott has taught more than 45 USGBC LEED workshops to more than 3,200 building professionals across North America. He was also chosen as one of the USGBC inaugural LEED Fellows in 2011. Additionally, Scott was awarded the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance’s BetterBricks Award for Professional Services in 2003, the inaugural year of the award, and was recently named a Fellow by the American Institute of Architects.
