SAN DIEGO — The Corky McMillin Cos. has sold LEED Gold Building 902 at Liberty Station in San Diego. The 105,061-square-foot, three-story, Class A office building was sold to a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust. Corky McMillin developed Liberty Station in conjunction with the City of San Diego Redevelopment Agency
 
Building 902 features LEED certified water-efficient fixtures, a roof slope and finishes to reduce heat island effect and local building materials. It provides panoramic bay and downtown views and its architecture was designed to blend with the surrounding historical buildings.  
 
The building, which was completed last year, is 95 percent leased. Three tenants — BAE Systems, KAB Labs and the Transportation Security Administration — currently operate out of the building. Ninety-seven percent of Liberty Station’s total office space is currently leased.
 
Liberty Station spans 361 acres just outside downtown San Diego and the San Diego International Airport. Among its draws are 125 acres of parks and open space, a 28-acre arts and cultural district, the nine-hole Sail Ho golf course, multiple retail communities, cafes, restaurants, and two waterfront hotels.
